BELL & ROSS BR05 Blue Steel BR05A-BLU-ST/SST
The BR05 has many of the elements from previous Bell & Ross models, such the aircraft cockpit inspired dial, the large lume-treated hands, the Arabics at the quarters and the round dial, inside the square case with four screws, the BR05 has a more Urban feel to it
The BR05 watches in steel make do not deny their design descendants, the influence of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus are very clear, but also it is clear to see the influence of previous B&R models
This Blue Steel from Bell & Ross combines the strong mechanics and functionality into its design principles, rather than working against them. The rounded corner square forms the bezel rather than the actual case body, which is a modified version of the BR01/03 case shape. The addition of crown guards, give a more streamlined appeal and at 11mm thick, the watch is thin enough to be on the elegant side of the sports-elegant
The lugs of the BR05 are extensions of the case which flow into the first centre link of an integrated metal bracelet, which has brushed links alternating with polished centre links. The bracelet is crisp and well finished the ampersand on the clasp is a great design touch.
The watch features a precise and reliable automatic Sellita mechanism, viewable through a round transparent porthole on the rear of the case.
