OMEGA Seamaster 300 Co-Axial. 1957 Trilogy

OMEGA introduced three sport watches in 1957 and this 'holy trinity',  the Speedmaster, Seamaster 300, and Railmaster were each re-released 60 years later. This iconic Seamaster 300 is one of those models and is limited to only 3,577 models.

It is this attention to detail in recreating this watch so close to the original that has made this re edition so popular. Omega even used the old taller and thinner version of their logo and the 1957 font of the Omega wordmark and series logo font on the dial. Vintage example are few and far between and represent some of the most cherished historical dive watches around. 

In common with all three watches in the Trilogy, The watch is cased in a brushed and polished stainless steel case with straight lugs that meet a robust flat steel bracelet with the vintage OMEGA logo on the clasp. 

The black dial has a period-matching thin bi-directional bezel surrounding it, complete with its layered look and reverse minute countdown. The dial features a tan Super-LumiNova that looks like aged radium, and uses the iconic "broad arrow" handset. The Hesalite crystal has even been engraved with a subtle OMEGA signature at its center – just as you'd find on the vintage examples.

Visually this is an exact recreation of the original Seamaster 300, this model comes with some serious mechanical improvements though.  This watch is powered by the Master Chronometer 8806, a self-winding Master Co-Axial Chronometer which is approved by METAS and is arguably one of the most magnetic resistant and accurate watches in the world.

This is one of the most sought after Omega watches at the moment and will definitely be something worth collecting.
