TAG HEUER Aquaracer Black Phantom CAY218B.FC6370
The Aquaracer is the sport collection from Tag Heuer built to meet the specific needs of extreme professional water sports. The unidirectional faceted bezel with studs, screw-in caseback, 300m water resistance as well as superluminova are the recognizable features of this very technical collection built to provide maximum security for water sports lovers.
This new timepiece is for the first time presented in a stealth 'full black' look giving a true 'camouflage' timepiece. The black titanium case, grey anthracite sandblasted dial, black ceramic bezel with lacquered numerals and grey superluminova touches are discrete while maintaining their functionalities within the darkest parts of the sea .By incorporating an eclectic mix of finishes, details of the Black Phantom present a character that changes with each unique light
The markers on the dial appear to be an almost black nickel finish, the galvanic treatment the brand calls “Black Gold” is anthracite rather than black nickel. The dial receives the same “Black Gold” treatment but with the addition of a sandblasted texture. As a result, light reflects differently from each component, thereby providing contrast, making it surprisingly legible and while the lume may not be as striking as on some watches TAG Heuer found a nice balance that provides effective luminescence without compromising its all-black theme.
It is clear with this watch that the Aquaracer continues to evolve and even flourish, branching into almost niche markets, blurring the lines between utility and fashion.
